Customs & Duties Refund Guarantee

We're based in the UK, and our online shop proudly serves international customers across EU, Norway, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Singapore.

We always aim to support our international customers who may incur extra costs beyond their order value. If your shipping address is outside the UK, please note that we do not collect duties or import taxes at checkout.

How to Get a Refund for Customs & Duties

If you've been asked to pay duties or customs clearance fees — don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!

Simply email us at info@lulu-lane.com with the following details:

  • Your name & order number

  • Receipt of payment (a photo of the paper receipt, or a digital receipt from your local shipping carrier)

Once we receive your information, we’ll process your refund within 3 business days.

European Union

  • Order value below €150: VAT is collected, no additional tax will apply
  • Order value above €150: VAT will be charged on/before delivery under the EU's IOSS regulations post-Brexit
  • Customs Duty 6.3% may apply (pay before/on delivery)

Norway

  • 25% MVA is collected, no additional tax will apply
  • Duty Free

Switzerland

  • Order value below CHF 61.7: No import tax or duty applies
  • Order value above CHF 61.7: 8.1% VAT (Swiss import tax) may apply (pay before/on delivery)
  • Duty Free

United States

  • Order value below USD 800: No import tax or duty applies
  • Order value above USD 800: No import tax, but 11.4% customs duty may apply

Canada

  • Order value below CAD 150: 5%-15% GST may apply (pay before/on delivery)
  • Order value above CAD 150:  5%-15% GST & 11% Duty may apply (pay before/on delivery)

Australia

  • Order value below AUD 1000: GST free
  • Order value above AUD 1000: GST at 10% may apply (pay before/on delivery)
  • Duty Free

New Zealand

  • Order value below NZD 400: GST free
  • Order value above NZD 400: GST at 15% may apply (pay before/on delivery)
  • Duty Free

Singapore

  • Order value below SGD400: GST free
  • Order value above SGD400: GST at 9% may apply (pay before/on delivery
  • Duty Free

Japan

  • 10% Consumption Tax may apply (pay before/on delivery)
